What MT1 is
MT1 is a linear synthetic analog of α-MSH in which norleucine and D-phenylalanine substitutions stabilise the sequence relative to the native hormone. That design places it in the afamelanotide structural class used in melanocortin research.
It must not be confused with Melanotan II. MT-2 is cyclic; MT1 is linear. The two have different masses, chromatographic behaviour and catalog documentation, and VaultLabs never shares lot numbers between them.
