Acetic acid in the UAE

This is the UAE procurement overview for the sterile acetic acid diluent. It is not a water.

Acetic acid is a sterile dilute solution, CAS 64-19-7, stocked in 3 ml and 10 ml sealed vials. Peptide laboratories use it when a method needs an acidic aqueous medium rather than water. It is not bacteriostatic water and not sterile water. The catalogue does not publish a percentage on this page; the batch label and the lot certificate state what that vial contains. Identity sits on the acetic acid monograph. Laboratory use only.

Tested before release

Each catalogue batch is tested by an independent laboratory before release, then checked again on the VaultLabs certificate. The laboratory report for this lot is available on request, and the laboratory is named on that report.

Lot VL-AA3-20260917

Three diluents, three lots

Order acetic acid when the SOP names an acidic medium. Order sterile water when the SOP wants unpreserved water. Order BAC water when the SOP allows a preserved multi-draw water. A certificate for either water does not qualify this vial.

3 ml and 10 ml are separate lots of the same reagent family. Select the size on the acetic acid product page. Comparisons: acetic acid vs BAC water and acetic acid vs sterile water.

Documentation and receiving in the UAE

Match the printed lot in batch verification. Records are also listed at the 3 ml COA index and the 10 ml COA index. Confirm the name acetic acid and CAS 64-19-7 before the unit leaves quarantine.

If the lot is unpublished, raise a documentation request and hold the vial. Do not substitute a water certificate.

Dispatch, handling and the limit of supply

Dispatch is from Dubai to all seven emirates. Checkout is in AED. Keep sealed vials as the batch label specifies. Acetic acid is corrosive and has a vapour; institutional chemical-hygiene rules apply even to a small sterile vial.

This solution is for in vitro laboratory research only. It is not vinegar, not a bulk glacial-reagent bottle, not for human or animal use, and not a preparation instruction. See the research use policy.

What the lot record has to show

Before the vial leaves quarantine, the certificate should name acetic acid and CAS 64-19-7, and the lot should match the label. 3 ml and 10 ml are separate lots. Choose the size and read the current AED price on the acetic acid product page. This overview does not publish a percentage. If a concentration matters to the method, it has to come from the batch label and the certificate for the lot in hand.

A water certificate is the wrong file even when the method later mixes this solution with water. BAC water and sterile water stay on their own rows. Identity and the reason a peptide method might call for an acidic medium are on the acetic acid monograph, not restated here as a protocol.
