Sterile water in the UAE

Pick sterile water when the method cannot accept a preservative, including cell-based work and assays where benzyl alcohol would show up in the result. Pick BAC water when the SOP allows a preserved multi-draw vial. The side-by-side comparison lists the attributes.

3 ml and 10 ml are inventory sizes of the same unpreserved diluent, each with its own lot. Choose the size on the sterile water product page.

Match the printed lot in batch verification. The 3 ml COA index and the 10 ml COA index list the same records from the product side. A BAC water certificate does not qualify a sterile water vial, and a 3 ml certificate does not qualify a 10 ml vial.

If the lot is unpublished, raise a documentation request and hold the unit.

Gulf receiving is mostly a paperwork problem, not a chemistry problem: name the recipient, get the parcel out of a hot vehicle, and file the lot the same day. If the published record is not up yet, hold the unit and raise a documentation request. Sterile water here is a research diluent.
