AHK-Cu for UAE laboratories

One character separates the two catalogue names, and the sequences are genuinely different: AHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of alanyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine under CAS 174699-09-3, while GHK-Cu is the glycyl analogue under a different registry number. They are not grades of one product and they are not substitutes. A requisition that reads copper peptide 100mg is not specific enough to order against.

The appearance difference is worth teaching to receiving staff, because it catches the substitution before the vial is logged. AHK-Cu is described in its product record as an off-white lyophilised powder; correctly complexed GHK-Cu is blue-green. If a vial labelled AHK-Cu arrives visibly blue-green, or the reverse, quarantine it and reconcile the label against the published lot record.
