What reference-grade means for the material in this category

This category holds lyophilised powders catalogued as analytical reference materials: single-sequence peptides such as BPC-157, SEMAX and tesamorelin; higher-mass metabolic compounds including retatrutide (catalogued here as GLP-3 RT), semaglutide and tirzepatide; copper complexes; and fixed-ratio blends such as GLOW and KLOW. Reference-grade describes the record rather than a grade certificate — a named identity, a stated unit mass, a lot number belonging to that exact presentation, and an analytical record attached to that lot. It is not a pharmacopoeial designation.

Strengths are separate materials, and that causes more ordering errors than anything else here. GLP-3 RT 10 mg and 20 mg share a compound identity and nothing further — independent lots, independent certificates. The same holds for GHK-Cu vials against the bulk raw-powder line. A certificate qualifies the lot printed on it and no other lot.

What ships with a research peptide order

Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis and a traceable lot number. Where analytical release for that lot is complete, the record is published online and can be matched to the vial label through COA verification. Document type is labelled on each record, so you can see whether you hold a purity chromatogram, an identity confirmation or a supplier summary rather than inferring it. Receiving checks are quick. Match the lot on the label to the lot on the paperwork before anything is opened, confirm the seal, and note the cake — a collapsed, shrunken or migrated plug is a thermal-history signal worth recording even when the powder looks usable. Net peptide content, area-percent purity and identity are three separate questions

Comparing vials across suppliers usually breaks down because one number is asked to do three jobs. Area-percent purity by HPLC reports what proportion of the detected signal corresponds to the target peak; it says nothing about how much peptide is in the vial. Net peptide content is the mass question — a vial labelled 10 mg can carry counter-ion and residual water, and material supplied as a TFA salt weighs more per unit of peptide than the free-base equivalent. Identity is a third question again, answered by mass confirmation rather than by retention time alone, which is what mass spectrometry records are for.

So 99.2% from one supplier and 98.7% from another may be measured at different wavelengths, on different gradients, with different impurity cut-offs, and are not directly comparable figures.
