COA Checklist

Laboratory qualification checklist for supplier COA documents.

  1. Match the product and SKU. Confirm the product name and catalog SKU on the certificate match what the order and the vial label say.
  2. Match the lot number. Compare the lot number printed on the vial to the lot field on the certificate. A certificate that cannot be tied to a specific lot is unverified.
  3. Check the test date and method. Review the analysis date and the analytical method used, typically reversed-phase HPLC for purity.
  4. Record the purity result. Log the reported purity against the lot in your internal qualification record, not against the product line.
  5. Archive the document. Store the PDF alongside the receiving paperwork so the batch remains auditable after the vial is consumed.
  6. Verify the batch independently. Resolve the lot through batch verification to confirm the supplier publishes the same record you were sent.
