What this blend is
The vial contains two designed heptapeptides that share a C-terminal Pro-Gly-Pro motif and little else. Semax is an ACTH(4–7) analogue with the sequence Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro. Selank is a tuftsin analogue with the sequence Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro. Co-lyophilising them does not create a third compound and does not create a CAS number.
VaultLabs already catalogs Semax alone as a 10 mg SKU. This blend is a separate fill with a separate lot identifier. Receiving errors start when a requisition says "Semax 10 mg" and a stores officer issues the blend because the fill weight matches. The certificate will not save that error if nobody reads the component list.
The catalog does not treat the blend as a single purity percentage in the way a one-sequence vial can be treated. Two intended peaks are two species. A main-peak figure that ignores the second heptapeptide is describing the material incorrectly.
Where the research literature sits
Almost all indexed papers study one sequence. Kost, Sokolov, Gabaeva and colleagues reported in 2001 that both Semax and Selank inhibited enkephalin-degrading enzymes in human serum in vitro, with the heptapeptides more potent than several classical peptidase inhibitors in that assay. That paper is useful because it names both components in one biochemical system. It is not a study of this catalog blend.
Volkova, Shadrina, Kolomin and colleagues reported in Frontiers in Pharmacology (2016) that Selank administration changed expression of neurotransmission-related genes in rat frontal cortex, with a correlation to GABA-related changes in that model. That is rodent transcript work on Selank alone. It does not describe Semax, and it does not describe a co-lyophilised vial.
The standalone Semax monograph cites separate BDNF and monoamine papers. Those results do not transfer to the blend without an analytical confirmation that both sequences are present and intact. Combining two literatures is not the same as having combination data.
Analytical characterisation and handling
A competent blend chromatogram should resolve both heptapeptides against their own reference standards. Semax carries an N-terminal methionine and is the more oxidation-sensitive component; Selank does not. A method that only integrates one main peak will hide degradation of the other.
Store sealed lyophilised vials at 2–8 °C, protected from light and humidity, and equilibrate before opening. After reconstitution, the methionine on Semax is the reason other laboratories keep freeze-thaw cycles and open-vial time short. Blend stability is not inherited from either monograph automatically.
Do not use a Semax 10 mg certificate, or any single-component Selank document, to release this lot. Match the printed blend lot through batch verification.

This blend is a research reference material. It is not an approved medicine in the UAE or elsewhere, and it is not supplied for human or veterinary use. Registration of Semax as a medicine in another jurisdiction does not apply to VaultLabs material and does not apply to a two-component fill.
